Unexpected twists & turns
Things can change so quickly. I’m going to give you the abbreviated version here—just to keep you up to date
I accepted a brand new full time job—one that was written just for me! This meant my amazing husband was going to pick up even more of the household chores.
Two weeks before I was to start brand new, full time job, my amazing husband was hit by a car while out on a bicycle ride. He had the right of way in a designated bike lane and she turned right, into a driveway. Resulting in a broken hip, surgery and lots of swelling and pain and road rash.
He is definetly NOT picking up extra household chores. In fact ALL household chores are now mine plus all the caregiver, chauffer and miscellaneous chores.
I started my new job this week and am so grateful for family and neighbours that sat with amazing husband while I was at the new office for two days of orientation. Grateful, I can work from home when I am not on the road. Grateful I am easing into travel again with only day trips for this month!
What does all this mean? Besides being tired? I am still working in the industry that I love. The Quilting and Sewing world is so special to me. You can continue to find me working at large shows but now you will find me in the BERNINA of Canada booth. I am so excited to be part of this team and this brand that is known for their great quality machines and service and support. I’ll be visiting stores that sell BENINA machines and may run into some of you there. I won’t be teaching any classes this fall—between extra chores at home and my new job I just don’t think I have the capacity in me to teach and do it well.
Thank you for all of your support over the past few years and I can’t wait to take you on this new journey with me.
All the Best
Gail
PS—yes I am still long arming for others—but won’t be taking in any more quilts until after Thanksgiving here in Canada.
