Changes are coming!

A lot can happen in a few short days that can change the trajectory of your life. Sometimes it’s bad news and sometimes it’s good news. I’ve had some good news—I can’t quite share it all publicly quite yet—but soon.

Here’s what I can tell you—my fall is going to look very different than I thought it was going to. If you had told me even two weeks ago I would have laughed and said I know exactly what my fall is going to look like. I had an email all ready to go out telling everyone when I was offering classes, how sign ups would happen etc . Now I am preparing a completely different email to go out in a few days.

Here’s what’s staying the same. I still get to see my grandsons almost every weekday. We will have popcorn on Fridays, play cards and hear all about the ups and downs of being in grade 5. I still get to be involved with my local guild, and still have the privilege of being on a committee that brings a fun virtual weekend to our members at the end of January. I love that committee for two reasons, one being the members of the committee are my friends and we have fun with the planning. The second reason I love that volunteer committee is the joy is brought to over 100 people last year. Instead of starting February with the typical blahs we were able to slide into the month after having a fun weekend.

Here’s more that stays the same. I am going to keep quilting for myself and others. My knee is getting so much better I can stand now for a whole couple hours at a time. If you know anything about long arm quilting we are on our feet a lot. My knee has kept me off my feet for almost two months now and it has not made me happy. It’s amazing what proper stretching and physiotherapy can do.
